Tennessee Appellate Courts Go Live with TrueFiling Solution

As a trusted leader in paperless court solutions, ImageSoft, Inc. is honored to announce that its TrueFiling solution has been rolled out as the Tennessee’s Appellate Courts’ exclusive eFiling provider.

By equipping attorneys with an electronic filing (eFiling) option, the Tennessee Appellate Courts are fostering an efficient, state-wide filing environment that benefits filers, clerks and the courts. Leveraging the electronic workflow from OnBase by Hyland, clerks can better manage their workload and be more efficient in managing documents coming into the court. And because TrueFiling is integrated with the court’s case management system (CMS), most data entry is eliminated, the court’s records management has significantly improved, and real-time access to necessary information enables attorneys to self-serve status updates and, as a result, reduce call volume to the clerks’ offices.

The Appellate Court is also realizing a streamlined billing solution for filings with the new system. Filers now pay fees up front through the portal, which lends itself to easier payment arrangements and simplifies the billing process. From their Filing Review Workflow, clerks can validate filing payments, issue refunds for documents submitted as the wrong file type or for filers who have overpaid, and/or reject filings that were submitted as an incorrect file type or do not adhere to the court’s filing rules.
