ImageSoft Honored as an Economic Bright Spot by Corp! Magazine

On Thursday, June 14 2018, ImageSoft Inc. was grateful to be among those recognized as contributors to the state’s economy and overall wellbeing at Corp! Magazine’s award ceremony for Economic Bright Spots.

Dedicated to inspiring business excellence in the Great Lakes State, Corp! Magazine hand-picks small, medium, large and enterprise-sized businesses that have set a standard for leadership in their companies and communities, and recycled their own economic success back into Michigan’s economy. Of the more than 400 applications received, Corp! Magazine narrowed down their Bright Spot recipients to roughly only 80 businesses.

Upon their early morning arrival at Greektown’s International Banquet Center, honorees grabbed some coffee and mingled before enjoying a buffet-style breakfast. With a full plate at every seat, Keynote Speaker Dr. Paul Isely from Grand Valley State University took the stage and presented a charismatic yet informative forecast on Detroit’s economy, which was the perfect treat for a room full of business owners working in a historically-unpredictable financial system. The morning continued with an insightful “Spotlight on the Bright Spots” panel discussion moderated by Camille Walker-Banks, executive director at Goldman Sachs, which zeroed in on strengthening business efforts relating to the triple-bottom line, talent acquisition and employee retention. Light-hearted and interactive tweet breaks were also encouraged in-between each agenda piece, and many of the attending executive’s witty responses can still be enjoyed under Twitter’s #MichBusiness thread. With cameras flashing and laughter booming, the morning was an energizing celebration of all the good that businesses of every size and sector are contributing to our state, and of the exciting initiatives on Michigan’s horizon.

“Receiving the Economic Bright Spots award is such an honor for us at ImageSoft because everyone, from leadership to each team member, shares the same values and mission,” said Steve Glisky, Vice President of ImageSoft. “For us, prioritizing the well-being of our staff, clients, and community is just way we do business. But to be identified as one of Michigan’s biggest economic contributors, and to take some time to really celebrate that and share in the conversations that are driving our state’s economy – well, that’s a privilege.”

Inspired by the honorable perspectives and strategies upheld by many of Michigan’s socially-responsible organizations, ImageSoft was excited to be a part of their discussion and share its own value-rooted initiatives. Growing on a national scale, ImageSoft is consistently mindful of finding and hiring new talent to support its coast-to-coast efforts. Applying the “right person, right seat” strategy, ImageSoft seeks applicants who share their fun-loving attitudes and creative efforts. Because of their conscious hiring process, they enjoy extremely low turnover and frequently congratulate team members on their 5+ year work anniversaries. Operating on a family-first value, employees enjoy flexible work schedules, healthy PTO and quarterly wellness challenges. As a company, ImageSoft also gives each team member an extra PTO day per year to go share their time and talents on community efforts. Past community-service days have included cleaning up parks and streets, rebuilding homes, and serving in soup kitchens. With its headquarter location seated on a nature reserve in Southfield, MI, employees are encouraged to clear their minds on peaceful strolls across the boardwalk where they can see cranes diving in the pond, turtles sunbathing on rocks, and dragonflies fluttering in every which way. Appreciative of being surrounded by such natural beauty, plenty of recycling bins are placed throughout the office to ensure our free tea, juice, and soda containers never turn into land-waste!
