Oh, the pandemic outside is frightful, but the fire inside of ImageSoft is delightful!
Our burning passion to “Enhance Lives Through Innovative Technology” has never shone brighter than it did in 2020. As the challenges faced worldwide forced people to re-think how work gets done, the demand for electronic workflow and content management systems grew. And ImageSoft, the Paperless Process People, has stood ready to deliver, not only with our tried-and-true solutions, but also with four new products designed to make life easier for health care professionals, judges, court clerks, and prosecutors, not to mention anyone who needs documents signed electronically. As we look back upon 2020 in review, our highlights center around the way we’ve responded to the crisis with new tools which enable our clients, in turn, to respond well to their customers and constituents.
Public Health Solution: Contact Tracing App
To be a great company, you need to have great customers, and Ottawa County, Michigan is as good as they get. When calamity struck, Ottawa’s team developed a COVID tracking system within the OnBase platform we had sold them many years prior. We then worked in partnership to enhance the solution, put it in the cloud, and make it available to other states and counties. The result was a contact tracing app that caught the attention of Crain’s Detroit Business, the Grand Rapids Business Journal, and even Scientific American. Hotspot mitigation, proximity alerts, community engagement, state health reporting – all this and more is possible through the power of our contact tracing app, which is now being used by more than a dozen public health departments. After all, technology this good is contagious!
Online Dispute Resolution
Earlier this year, we announced our partnership with ResolveDisputes.Online, which immediately catapulted us into the top three providers of ODR worldwide. As the rapid spread of the novel coronavirus drove greater demand for courts to operate remotely, ImageSoft moved quickly to provide a world-class solution that has won awards across the globe. We are currently working with a half dozen states plus a major business dispute resolution organization to offer product demonstrations and industry best practices which will shape their ODR initiatives. This software is turning heads – no dispute about that!
Digital Evidence Management
The pandemic wasn’t the only crisis capturing global headlines this year. In the wake of racial unrest, violence struck in many major cities, spawning a host of viral videos. Eventually, that content – plus all the security camera footage you may not see online – makes its way to prosecutors, and that’s where ImageSoft’s digital evidence management (DEM) solution comes in. Our DEM product gives prosecutors and other attorneys the tools they need to capture, review, redact, exchange and store digital evidence. We provide simultaneous, time-synced playback of multiple videos, rendered to display the most distilled recording possible, with enhanced images and revealed metadata that was previously hidden. Content is normalized and easily played back during investigations or proceedings thanks to a single player that handles all formats, including DVR, CCTV, body cam and cell phones. ImageSoft’s DEM solution is a hit with courts and prosecutors – there’s plenty of evidence for that!
TrueSign
eSignature is not a new concept. We’ve been providing it ourselves for more than a decade, and many others have created similar tools over the years. The problem is that the U.S. market is still dominated by one player who grew their market share when they were the only game in town. This year, we completely rebuilt our electronic signature product, TrueSign, and think we can do better in two major respects. First, TrueSign offers a more transparent pricing structure – we find that many people using competitors’ products don’t realize how much they’re paying for each signature. Second, TrueSign lives in the highly secure Microsoft Azure Cloud, and conforms with the stringent standards set by the FBI’s Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) division. Switching to TrueSign is definitely an idea worth signing onto!
The final highlight of 2020 that I’d like to reflect on is the way the ImageSoft family came together to help each other through these challenging times. Our team members, customers, and suppliers worked tirelessly to keep each other connected, engaged, and productive. We also reached out to our respective communities with masks for medical workers, food for local pantries, and financial support for those in need. We checked in on each other, and adjusted our schedules and work environments to keep things moving. “People First” is not just a cliché to us – it’s a core value that’s at the heart of everything we do.
So thank you, ImageSoft family – together, we made 2020 our best year ever.
