Guidewire Integration with OnBase Enables Automobile Club Member CAA SCO to Improve Claims and Policy Processes

SOUTHFIELD, Mich., (April 2, 2013)ImageSoft, Inc., has released a new case study showcasing improvements to the claims and policy centers of CAA South Central Ontario following the insurer’s integration of Guidewire with its OnBase document management solution.

When CAA South Central Ontario (CAA SCO), an automobile club delivering roadside assistance, insurance and travel services, chose Guidewire, a global property/casualty core system, to replace its outdated claims and policy administration system, it selected ImageSoft, Inc., of Southfield, Mich., to oversee the integration of the new system with its existing OnBase document management solution.

Since 2010, CAA SCO has successfully used OnBase in multiple departments to streamline business practices, improve the customer experience and manage and track claims and policy documents. OnBase works seamlessly with Guidewire by capturing and storing documents electronically and linking them with the associated claims and policy information from the Guidewire core system.

Simultaneous to its Guidewire implementation, CAA SCO also sought a better way to create policy declaration pages and other customer correspondence. The insurance carrier found a solution with the addition of the OnBase Document Composition module. The resulting improvements from the Guidewire/OnBase integration and the use of Document Composition, which are outlined in the new case study, include:

  • Enables staff to capture and store documents electronically in a central document repository and link them with the associated claims and policy information from its core line of business system
  • Provides fast, easy access to information saved in OnBase without exiting Guidewire
